Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance
The Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA) is an inclusive and independent organization that believes that arts and culture are essential to the vitality of the greater Baltimore region and that the cultural community is stronger together than apart.

Conceived in 1997 and incorporated in 2001, GBCA nurtures and promotes a vibrant, diverse, and sustainable arts and cultural community essential to the region’s quality of life. Its goals are to connect artists and organizations to one another and to vital resources through funding, technical assistance, and convening to advocate for the health, visibility, and financial strength of the sector with communications and other strategies that result in public and private support.

GBCA is a membership and service organization for arts, culture, history, heritage organizations, and attractions, as well as universities and colleges and individual artists. GBCA serves organizations and artists in Baltimore City and Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Carroll, Harford, and Howard counties.

Baker Artist Awards
The Baker Artist Awards were created in 2008 to support and promote artists, the artistic talent of the greater Baltimore region, and the image of Baltimore as a strong creative community. The online nomination process creates a portfolio of area artists and artwork that are promoted to regional, national and international audiences. The awards were established by the William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund and are a program of the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance.

The Rubies Artist Project Grants
Launched in 2013 by the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (GBCA), the Rubies are project-based grants that provide funding of up to $10,000 directly to individual artists. Grants support the region’s gems - the local creative community of performing, visual, media, and literary artists. The program is open to both emerging and established artists who live in Baltimore City or the five surrounding counties.

Artists U
Artists U wants to change the conversations artists have in our heads, with each other, and with the world. We push artists to build lives that are balanced, productive, and sustainable. We are skills-based, not need-based: we work to empower artists to create their lives and their art. We don’t give advice. We don’t do things for you. Everything we do is artist-to-artist and free for all participants.

Urban Arts Leadership Program
UALP aims to diversify and strengthen administrative leadership by connecting individuals of color to resources and professional development that will position them well as leaders.
